Zhaotong Xu, OD

Dr. Zhaotong Xu grew up on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. and attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa for her undergraduate studies, where she received her bachelor’s degrees in Molecular Cell Biology and in Psychology. She moved to California to attend the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Xu has clinical experience working with patients from varied ages and backgrounds through the UC Berkeley’s primary care and specialty clinics, ophthalmology clinics, community health centers, and Veteran’s Affairs hospitals.

Dr. Xu is board certified in the management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye syndromes. She is well-versed in the fitting of specialty contact lenses for irregular corneas and supports Dr. Goodman in diagnosing, managing, and treating various corneal conditions.

In her free time, Dr. Xu enjoys playing computer games and reading fantasy series
